The House of Silence (both volumes 1 and 2) has a five-star rating on Amazon, ARE, and FFP so far, with a 5/4.69 rating on Goodreads, and has some very nice reviews on all three sites. I'm so happy over the response these books have been getting. I had such a fun time creating this world and these characters, it's so rewarding to know that other people are enjoying reading their story as much as I enjoyed writing it.
I've started work on Volume 3 of The House of Silence, which continues the story of Charon, Vincent, Reiji, and the other boys. I wasn't originally intending to continue their story past that first crazy adventure they had, but over time I've come to realize that the world I created for them is so interesting to me, and the characters I came to know so richly detailed, that there's more about them I want to know. And their story isn't finished yet. So here I am embarking on yet another adventure with them.
So far I have the entire volume plotted out in broad strokes, with various subplots sketched in here and there to flesh it out. I've got the first three chapters written, and it all seems to be flowing well. It's been so much fun taking these characters out to play again, like coming back to visit old friends. I don't want to say too much about the plot at this point, but I will say there is plenty of excitement, intrigue, and adventure in store for them, with some new characters to introduce and an all new threat to the House for them to pool their talents and figure out how to solve.
It feels good to be writing again!
